The story so far [Day 6, Evening]

[Akodo Jishaku]

Huh, this diplomacy stuff is easy. Jishaku offers a light bow. "That would be much appreciated, you have my thanks."

He turns to the Captain to see if he has anything to add.

[Yoritomo Uminushi]

He was not, apparently, joking at all as he sips his kava. That fox's smile was firmly in place as he adds reasonably, "I think it best to make a rough outline of a plan... yes? I propose we strike at night, a few of our brahmin are able to call the fog to cover our approach. If we can have a few of your guards on the port watching their guards to see what their timetable is, how many their number and their rotation... that would be most helpful. After all, no point in wasting lives, ne?"

[Akodo Jishaku]

Jishaku nods at his Captain's suggestions and watches Utpal's reactions.

[Jayant Utpal]

"An evening strike sounds best, though they may be prepared." Jayant nodded. "We will get you the information, but caution would be wise. The enemy has taken few pains to hide themselves among us. And I believe Devadas wanted the ship intact."

[Yoritomo Uminushi]

"I'm sure caution will work up to a point... besides, I always expect a trap Jayant-san," his eyes glint as he smiles.

[Akodo Jishaku]

"Indeed. They have had days to prepare." He looks at the gaijin thoughtfully. "Let us hope that taking the boat does not require its destruction then."

[Jayant Utpal]

"They have. And so have we." Jayant smiles. "Still, a burning ship can easily enough spread, and we would prefer to avoid that if at all possible."
