Moon 16 - (9/06 - 9/09)
For the fourth time, darkness retreats from the Half Moon. A lethargy hangs over the ship, sapping away joy and hope. It seems an eternity since the small island haven that sheltered the shrine to Osano-wo. No end to the roiling sea can be seen and so, it comes as a surprise when the ship physically crosses the boundary of the Sea of Shadows into bright morning sun (Early Morning).
The warm, balmy wind is a palatable force as is the relief that washes over the crew. There's a few cheers from the whole fleet and an offering is given to both Osano-wo and Suitengu-no-kami before the Captain retires to his quarters. The rest of the day is spent in (relative) good cheer as the ship is checked for damage and cleansed of its journey through the Sea of Shadows. Night comes more naturally with the moon waning gibbous, lighting the night sky with its attendant stars.
